Our MCIE III PLUS software and MCIE DATAMANAGER are completely integrated because they were written together so that sorts can be performed on any of the manufacturing parameters in the system.

Our users are freed from the constraints that many databases attach to min-max record size, storage file size, number of data types which can be accessed, number of records stored, sorts, report types, and many others.

All information entered into the DATAMANAGER system is stored, and on-record at all times, ready for the industrial engineer to call upon it using the various MCIE data commands. Optionally, temporary files can be created which allow for testing of various What-If manufacturing simulations without affecting the accepted data already on the host unit. Only when data has been finalized does it need to be stored permanently.

SPECIAL MANUFACTURING ALGORITHMS ALLOW ACCURATE SIMULATION OF THE MANUFACTURING WORK PROCESS

MI Systems' software is unique in the manufacturing industry in that special algorithms allow the simulation of any manufacturing operation before the fact to an accuracy of three percent. By just describing the work actions in simple English. With this capability, the industrial engineer can see the effect of any type of proposed plan to build a new product or modify an existing one, including the new cost and time associated with the manufacture of the product, using methods that are easily understood by the shop floor personnel.

No one else in the software industry has the ability to simulate the manufacturing process with such accuracy and with generative algorithms. In fact, with MI Systems' integrated CAD workplace analysis system, a planner can design a new product, define the parts, design a new facility or manufacturing work place to build the product and our software automatically computes times and costs associated with the manufacture of this particular product in this new facility — before the fact, in a simulated plant, with unexcelled accuracy, and without requiring on-site measurements or having the specific machinery in place.

MI SYSTEMS' INTEGRATED MCIE DATAMANAGER ALLOWS DYNAMIC WORK PLANNING AND CONTROL WITHOUT EXTENSIVE INPUT OR MANUAL PREPARATION

MI Systems' DATAMANAGER is unique in the software industry. Self- contained, with virtually unlimited data record creation, storage (within the capacity of the computer), and compact informational data compression, DATAMANAGER is one of the most extensively time-tested and time-proven in the software industry. Unlike some systems which need external database managers to keep track of system data, and which are thus limited to the functionality of those data managers, MCIE Series Systems use their own working database which has been developed and tailored to fit the needs of manufacturers over the course of its over two-decades long development history and is integrated with MI Systems' extensive manufacturing software modules. Even before the first Apollo rockets went into space, MI Systems was developing one of the first self-contained manufacturing systems. Our database is bi-directional — records can be accessed, edited and stored all within our system. File organization is done internally and automatically.

CIM SOFTWARE CONTAINS ADVANCED GROUP TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS

Organized input and output enables the user to do computer-aided process planning, and MI Systems' integrated group technology/tree processor system creates a Process Planning System which is both interactive and efficient, as well as accurate. Group technology has been an integral part of MI Systems' programs since the mid-seventies, and today its capability is one of the most up-to-date in the industry because it allows the user to enter group elements right from the very first part operation to the completed product.

MANUFACTURING SOFTWARE INTEGRATES WITH ALL MAJOR CAD SYSTEMS

Another feature of MI Systems' manufacturing software is that it interfaces bi-directionally with all major Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programs such as CADAM, Intergraph, and AutoCad. This integrated CAD capability allows graphic simulation of a variety of processes, and also gives the user the ability to work out design problems on-screen. MCIE Series manufacturing data is automatically created from this graphic data.

BUILT-IN HELP SYSTEM GIVES INTEGRATED TECHNICAL SUPPORT

MI Systems' extensive System of Help-screens is one of the largest and most comprehensive in the industry. It is transparent and multilevel with pop-up windows in full color and can be called interactively at any time at the individual work station, without affecting system operation. There is no need to terminate or break during system operation with MI Systems' UniPrompt Help System. Help is only keystrokes and seconds away! MI Systems utilizes the most recent hardware developments to reduce storage space for its systems, and to maximize the operational processing speed on any one of the over thirty different operating systems and types of computers which use our software.

SERVING THE NEEDS OF MANUFACTURERS

MI Systems has manufacturing software built by manufacturing experts which covers the broad needs of manufacturers for flexible planning tools, accurate information, timely control actions and optimal build procedures. MI Systems software is extensive and comprehensive, covering all the Manufacturer's needs to define and manufacture a product. MI Systems engineers and data processors are there to support the Manufacturer as needed. MI Systems' R&D programs offer the Manufacturer the latest in high-tech advances so that the Manufacturer's manufacturing systems are always the best available. Our implementation services give the Manufacturer experienced applications specialists when and where the Manufacturer needs them.

MI Systems' software has the most advanced manufacturing planning and control software on the market. With systems that can accurately simulate all aspects of the build process before the fact and can be used to control operations and increase throughput while minimizing associated costs. This software has no comparable product in the marketplace. The software has been proven in more than 650 installations nationwide with more than 1,800 individual users, in more than 60 different types of industry. The MI Systems manufacturing software is in such diverse Fortune 1,000 companies as 3M, TRW, Cummins Engine, Rubbermaid, Clark Equipment, Emerson Electric, Black & Decker, Sikorsky, General Motors and many other leading firms.
